An Albanian court has confiscated and transferred the ownership of the Tirana-based TV station Ora News to the state.

According to Balkan Insight, it has until now been owned by Ylli Ndroqi and critical of the government.

It adds that the move was made after prosecutors claimed that Ndroqi couldn’t prove the legitimacy of his wealth.

Ndroqi had owned Ora News since 2007 and been previously accused of drug trafficking.
