Karel Novak to head Czech TV council

Karel Novak has been elected the new chairman of the council of the Czech public broadcaster Ceska Televize (CT).

According to Digizone, he defeated the current chairman, Pavel Matocha, by 7:6 in a vote in which 13 councillors participated.

It adds that Novak, who’s is a journalist and media manager, has spent most of his career at CT and been a member of its council since spring 2021.

Meanwhile, Vlastimil Jezek and Pavel Matocha has been elected the new vice chairman of CT’s council.
