New youth channel for Poland

The Polish public broadcaster TVP will launch the country’s first-ever channel aimed at teenagers on December 20.

Known as Alfa TVP, it will offer viewers educational and entertainment programmes, animated series and features and its own productions, including a sitcom.

Alfa TVP will be available on TVP.pl, on the TVP GO app and virtual channel on DTT.

Commenting on Alfa TVP, the broadcaster’s president Mateusz Matyszkowicz said: “Alfa TVP is our concern for growing viewers. It is an honor for public television to propose a channel that will combine attractiveness with safety and educational values”.
