Install Windows 10 on tablet: does it work?

Posted by Tom Reichardt on 08/27/2021 Do you want to install Windows 10 on your tablet? Other users have probably come up with this idea and are very interested in this question.
And it works! However, the procedure is a little more complicated and not done with an app download.
We explain step by step how to install Windows 10 on your tablet.

There is no pure Windows 10 operating system for Android A lot has happened in recent years for both Windows operating systems and tablets. Nevertheless, there is still no pure Windows 10 operating system that can be installed and used directly on Android. However, so-called convertibles (2-in-1 devices) are available, where you can remove the screen separately. If desired, Windows 10 can also be preconfigured for this and can then be used on the tablet device as usual. But if you still want to install Windows 10 on your tablet with Android, there is a little trick to do this. And we'll tell you about it in the next section. Get Windows 10 on your tablet with an emulator An emulator is a special system that can mimic another specific system.

For example, emulators are available for Mac computers on which you can install and fully use Windows programs. It works similarly with emulators that are available for Android smartphones and tablets. For this purpose, the respective emulator is first downloaded and installed as an app. It is then necessary to download and install a Windows operating system or application. Both are then fully available. Although there would also be the possibility of completely replacing Android with Windows 10. But this process would be extremely complicated. For this it is necessary, among other things, to activate full root rights. And that in turn comes with a certain risk. In the following step-by-step instructions, we will show you how it all works using the Android emulator "Limbo PC Emulator". And let's go! The Limbo app as a PC emulator for Windows 10

Explained step by step: Install Windows 10 on a tablet

    1. Install emulator on tablet
Download Limbo PC Emulator to your tablet. The app is now no longer officially available in the Google Play Store, which is why an external download is required. Incidentally, EnergyCube is behind the Limbo PC Emulator. Now install the app as usual and open it. You will now receive a request for access rights, which you should confirm with "Accept". This step is required to install Windows 10 later. Next it is required to accept installation of apps from unknown sources. To do this, first open the "Settings" on your tablet. After that, open the "Security" submenu and then agree that unknown apps would be installed.

    2. Download Windows 10 for tablet
To install Windows 10 on the tablet, the full operating system download is required. This means the ISO file that contains all the installation files. This process must be done on your Windows computer. Visit the Windows 10 downloads page and scroll down a bit. Now click on the blue Download Tool Now button to start downloading Windows Media Creation Tool. Install and open the tool. Then confirm the user account control by clicking on "Yes". It will now take a moment for the Creation Tool to fully load. Then confirm the license terms by clicking on "Accept" Next, select the second option "Installation medium (USB memory stick, DVD...)" and click "Next". In the next step, uncheck the "Use recommended options for this PC" option. Then please change the "Architecture" item from "64-bit (x-64)" to "32-bit (x86)". Continue by clicking on "Next". In the last step, select the second option "ISO file" and click "Next" again. After that, choose any place on your hard drive where you want to save the ISO file. The download will now begin, which may take a few minutes.

    3. Copy the Windows 10 ISO file and install it on the tablet When the Windows 10 ISO file you just downloaded has finished downloading, copy it to the Limbo App folder. To do this, connect your
