MediaForEurope ready to absorb Mediaset Espana

MediaForEurope (MFE), the rebranded Mediaset, is to incorporate Spanish subsidiary Mediaset Espana into the company.

The move is part of an on-going plan to create a truly pan-European broadcaster at scale.

In a statement issued Monday, MFE said the merger has received the approval of the two companies boards.

However, in order to go ahead, the absorption of Mediaset Spain into MFE still requires a vote at each of the two shareholders meetings due in March.
