Slovak companies to pay for YouTube usage
FEBRUARY 6, 2023 09.10 EUROPE/LONDON BY CHRIS DZIADUL
Slovak companies that use video services such as YouTube to promote their businesses will from now on be treated the same way under the law as streamers like Netflix or Voyo.
As a result, reports Zive, they will have to apply for official authorisation and pay a one-off fee of up to €260.
It adds that this obligation follows on from new legislation on media services and applies to the use of YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and other social networks, including OnlyFans.
Companies will have to register as operators of audiovisual media services.
