Israel’s Ministry of Communications (MOC) has approved 4iG’s acquisition of a further stake in Spacecom.

According to BBJ, quoting the news agency MTI, the Hungarian group will now be able to increase its stake in the Israeli company, which operates four Amos satellites, from 9.538% to 20% with a capital raise.

As previously reported by Broadband TV News, last September 4iG concluded a new agreement on the acquisition of a minority (20%) stake in Spacecom subject to the approval of the MOC.

Three years after the closing of the transaction it will be able to raise the stake to 51%, with the again with the approval of the MOC.

4iG acquired its current 9.538% stake in Spacecom last October.
