ADB has begun working on the adoption of the new Matter standard into its product portfolio.
The Geneva-based technology company has joined the Connectivity Standards Alliance, the promoter of Matter, which is designed to connect compatible devices and systems with one another within the smart home.
“As a complete system solutions provider for operators offering broadband, connectivity, and video services to subscribers, incorporating Matter into our portfolio is a natural development step,” said Krzysztof Bili?ski, CTO at ADB. “Our products are at the core of home and business networks. With innovative and state-of-the-art solutions from ADB, our customers will be able to offer subscribers even more features and capabilities, improving the comfort of their lives.”
Matter is an open-source protocol. It defines a common language for connected appliances to enable secure and unified communication between devices and platforms from different manufacturers, even without relying on cloud connectivity.
