United Group to accelerate Greek fibre rollout

United Group and Nova have unveiled a new company that will construct and operate a fibre-optic network in Greece.

Known as United Fibre, formerly Hellenic Open Fibre, it will combine the latter’s know-how and the technology and innovative DNA of United Group to build a network exceeding 22,000km in length and reaching 1.6 million households by 2027.

This will be the largest fibre-optic infrastructure project in South East Europe.

Broadband TV News notes that Nova is owned by United Group and has over 400,000 TV subscribers.
