YouTube grows advertising revenues
JULY 26, 2023 12.48 EUROPE/LONDON BY JULIAN CLOVER
YouTube has grown advertising revenues year on year after a period of decline.
Revenues at the Alphabet-owned streaming platform climbed 4.4% to $7.76 billion after a period of decline.
The company attributed the growth to brand advertising which it said was reflected in “further stabilisation in spending by advertisers”.
However, the figures don’t include subscriptions from YouTube TV, YouTube Premium or YouTube Music, all of which have increased prices in recent weeks.
Alphabet itself, which also runs Google, grew for the fourth consecutive quarter.
Google Search and other advertising revenues were around $42.6 billion in the quarter.
