Digi gains Romanian pay-TV subs

Digi Communications (RCS&RDS) saw its pay-TV subscriber total in Romania grow by 5.9% in the year to June 30.

According to the company, it ended the second quarter with around 5,580,000 customers to its cable and satellite services, up from 5,271,000 a year earlier.

Meanwhile, total revenues in Romania in Q2 amounted to €250.9 million, or 5.3% more than in the same period last year.

Digi also saw a 10.7% year-on-year increase in its fixed internet and data subscriber total (4,391,000 in Q2 2023), while its combined ARPU – it also offers fixed and mobile services – was down 2.2% to €4.5.
