ONE Albania has upgraded its IPTV service to an advanced hybrid OTT/IPTV platform powered by Android TV set-top boxes.

Commenting on the new ONE TV platform, Brano Djurovic, executive director of ONE Albania, said: “ONE TV will transform the traditional television experience into a dynamic and interconnected medium. This experience is no longer just about consuming television content; but it’s about experiencing it, interacting with it and adapting it to your preferences and lifestyle”.

He added: “We are proud to be recognised internationally by Omnitele, for the best quality of the mobile network in Albania, according to the same standards as the countries of Northern Europe. On the other hand, we have a fixed network reinforced with other investments in fiber. In Albania, more than 6,000 km of fibre have already been installed and almost 220,000 families using our fiber network have been reached”.

Broadband TV News notes that ONE Albania is owned by Hungary’s 4iG. It was formed by the merger of One Telecommunications and ALBtelecom at the start of this year.
