Date for Canal to take control of Multichoice extended

The completion date of the Canal Plus Group’s takeover of MultiChoice has been extended.

In a note to shareholders, MultiChoice said the date for posting the ‘Combined Circular’ had been extended to 4 June 2024.

The South African pay-TV operation had already said an extension might be necessary.

Canal Plus has been gradually building its stake in the company, which now stands at 42%.
