MagentaTV continues on growth path

Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV platform MagentaTV is continuing to pick up new subscribers.

In data released Thursday, the operator said its customer base had increased by 73,000 to 4.4 million.

Almost 1.1 million customers are using fibre-to-the-home (FTTH). Net adds are growing steadily from quarter to quarter, reaching 93,000 in the first three months of 2024, up from 65,000 in the prior-year period.

The number of new customers with an FTTH line continues to gain momentum. 209,000 net adds were recorded between April 1, 2022 and the end of March 2023. A futher 322,000 were added in the subsequent 12 months.

Among Telekom’s international affiliates, the number of TV customers increased by 28,000 to 4.3 million.
