Canal+ is partnering with leading telco 4iG as it launches a new offer in Hungary.

It’s the latest in a series of international launches that also include Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and most recently the Netherlands.

The Canal+ offer is already available under the Direct One brand and will be extended to 4iG’s customers in 2025. Canal+ will also transfer its B2B activities and Direct One DTH portfolio to 4iG, who will keep servicing the customers through their satellite platform.

Jacques du Puy, CEO Canal+ International said: “I am very pleased with the launch of our services in Hungary, which illustrates our strategy to digitalize our offerings, further strengthening our position in Europe. Hungary is a dynamic market for SVOD services, and CANAL+ is willing to take a significant place on that market. 4iG is the relevant partner to support this launch.|

Canal’s linear services are joined by its catalogue of movies and series. In 2025, a dedicated Hungarian app will be introduced. Canal+ will also transfer its B2B activities and Direct One DTH portfolio to 4iG, who will keep servicing the customers through their satellite platform.
