High View bundles ARD Plus content as FAST Channels

German media company High View is turning programmes from subscription-based video-on-demand service ARD Plus into FAST Channels.

The collaboration starts with classic series Lindenstraße from German public broadcaster ARD, which is now available free of charge 24/7 as the ARD Plus Lindenstraße Channel on streaming platform Samsung TV Plus.

ARD Plus and High View, who are launching the service, are responsible for the development of the FAST Channel as well as distribution and marketing. For advertising sales, High View is collaborating with FUNKE Channels.

The partnership enables High View to make selected ARD Plus streaming content available on a linear basis. “We are delighted that we can now realise the implementation of our offer in the FAST Channels world with High View as a professional partner with years of experience in the areas of free-TV, pay-TV and FAST Channels,” said ARD Plus Managing Director Michael Loeb.

The FAST Channel with all 1,759 episodes of Lindenstraße, Germany’s first daily soap opera, will gradually become available on other streaming platforms after the launch on Samsung TV Plus.

A further joint FAST Channel is planned by the end of 2024.
