New price rise on Peacock; testing new tiers

Peacock, the domestic streaming service run by Comcast’s NBCUniversal is to raise prices by $3 a month.

It was also announced that Peacock would test a new slimline tier for users.

The price for Peacock’s ad-supported premium plan will increase to $10.99 per month, while the premium plus plan will now be priced at $16.99 per month. A statement released by the streaming service said the price increase would click in on June 23.

The new Select tier will include current seasons of current shows from NBC and cable channel Bravo, together with a selection of library titles, will be priced at $7.99/month.

It’s the second price increase in 12 months after an additional £2 per month was added to the subscription ahead of the Paris Olympic Games.

At the end of the first quarter Peacock reported 41 million subscribers, compared with 36 million at the end of 2024.
