Ann Vandenbroucke, Chief Regulatory Officer at Rivada Space Networks, has left the company. Vandenbroucke is a highly-regarded expert in the field of satellite regulation and previousely held a similar post at Avanti Communications.

Her departure note said: “As the amazing time at Rivada ends, I can say I seldom had more fun, purpose and teamspirit in my working life. Up to the next episode for both.”

Vandenbroucke also spent more than 17 years at London-based Inmarsat.

Her role at Rivada was to secure the necessary rights “for its groundbreaking non-geostationary orbit (NGSO) system, aligning with the organisation’s vision to revolutionise global connectivity”.

Rivada continues to talk about its ‘Outernet’ satellite system, but – by any measure – progress has been limited.
