Central European Media Enterprises has joined the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, strengthening the anti-piracy coalition’s presence in Central and Eastern Europe.
CME operates across CEE with investments in local content, news and broadcasting. Its membership adds another major European media group to ACE’s global network.
Larissa Knapp, EVP and chief content protection officer at the Motion Picture Association, said piracy had become “more sophisticated, more coordinated, and more complex”, adding that each new member strengthens ACE’s ability to protect content from criminal piracy networks.
Klára Brachtlová, deputy CEO and chief external affairs officer at CME, said joining ACE reflected the company’s commitment to protecting creativity and supporting “a fair, predictable and sustainable media environment”.
ACE now has more than 50 members, including major studios, streamers, broadcasters and regional media companies.
The coalition works with law enforcement, regulators and industry partners to disrupt illegal distribution networks and promote lawful access to content.
