YouTube says millions of channels are now using its auto dubbing feature, enabling creators to translate and dub videos automatically into multiple languages.

Auto dubbing takes the original audio from a video, translates it and creates a dubbed audio track designed to follow the cadence of the original language.

The feature is now available in 27 languages, with eight languages supporting Expressive Speech for ‘more realistic voice output’.

YouTube said that as of December 2025, more than 6 million viewers were watching at least 10 minutes of auto-dubbed content every day.

Creators can monitor performance by language in YouTube Studio using the audio track filter, while viewers can choose whether to hear videos in their original language or with dubbing applied.

YouTube said auto dubbing does not negatively affect discovery and is intended to help creators reach international audiences more easily.

The platform is now working on adding more languages, expanding Expressive Speech and developing tools that allow creators to adjust and improve automatically generated dubs.
