TV 2 Denmark has launched a new streaming bundle with Disney+ and Apple TV, strengthening TV 2 Play’s role as an aggregator for Danish subscribers.
The offer is available to TV 2 Play customers who subscribe directly through TV 2 to either Favorit or Favorit + Sport. They can add Disney+ and Apple TV for DKK 119 (€16) per month, including a one-month free trial.
TV 2 said the bundle represents a saving of DKK 59 compared with buying the two services separately without ads.
Customers with an ad-supported TV 2 Play subscription can add an ad-supported Disney+ subscription, with a smaller monthly saving of DKK 19.
Anne Engdal Stig Christensen, CEO of TV 2, said: “Disney+ and Apple TV are two of the world’s most attractive services, and with this new partnership we are creating even more pathways into the community.”
She added that while Danish content remains TV 2’s “home turf”, viewers also expect access to major international films and series.
The move builds on TV 2 Play’s existing partnerships with C More, BritBox and SF Kids, and reflects a wider European trend in which national broadcasters and streaming platforms are using bundling to defend local content ecosystems against global streaming competition.
