Polsat returned to second place in Nielsen’s Polish content distributor rankings in April, as ByteDance entered the top 10 for the first time.
Warner Bros. Discovery retained the number one position in Nielsen’s All Screens Video Landscape Report, a position it has held since the start of the year.
Polsat moved back ahead of public broadcaster TVP, which slipped to third after March’s sports-led boost from national football fixtures faded.
The report tracks household viewing in Poland across TVs, PCs, laptops, smartphones and tablets, combining reach and time spent.
Nielsen said overall viewing fell slightly in April compared with March, driven entirely by lower traditional linear TV viewing as warmer spring weather arrived.
Streaming, however, moved in the opposite direction, increasing both total time spent and viewer numbers.
Lucyna Koba, market leader at Nielsen Poland, said Polsat’s return to second place was driven by the final stages of spring reality formats including Dancing with the Stars and Farma.
She added that ByteDance’s entry into the top 10 showed how aggressively short-form mobile video is competing for Polish viewing time.
