Polsat Plus Group reported strong first-quarter results helped by rapid take-up of its new bundled offers, growth in renewable energy production and continued investment in premium sports rights.

Group revenues rose 3% year-on-year to PLN 3.6 billion (€844 million), while adjusted EBITDA increased 4.7% to PLN 847 million (€199 million), ahead of analyst expectations.

The operator’s multiplay strategy continued to underpin performance. Polsat Plus now has more than 3 million multiplay customers, with bundled users accounting for 54% of the total customer base. Around 28% of customers have already migrated to the company’s new multiplay proposition.

Average revenue per user also continued to rise across segments. Consumer ARPU increased 5.8% to PLN 82.2, business ARPU rose 3.8% to PLN 1,570 and prepaid ARPU increased 4.7%.

Piotr Żak, president of Cyfrowy Polsat and Telewizja Polsat, said the group’s recent product launches and restructuring efforts were now feeding through into results.

“Our projects and new offerings from recent months, as well as decisions to restructure the Group’s structures and management model, are reflected in very good operational and financial results. Our multiplay strategy is working and is increasingly strengthening our market position.”

The company also confirmed an extension of its UEFA rights portfolio, retaining exclusive rights to the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League until 2031. The renewed deal adds to a sports line-up already including Wimbledon, ATP tennis and volleyball on Polsat Sport, alongside Formula 1 and major European football leagues on Eleven Sports.

Sports helped sustain viewing performance despite competition from Winter Olympics coverage. Polsat TV channels achieved a combined audience share of 21.9%, while TV advertising and sponsorship revenues rose to PLN 324 million, giving the broadcaster a 28.5% share of the advertising market.

Elsewhere, the Polsat–Interia group retained its lead as Poland’s largest online publisher, attracting an average 20.5 million monthly users and generating 1.9 billion page views.

In streaming, Polsat Box Go expanded its offer with the addition of 23 TVP and TVN channels, bringing its total line-up to almost 200 channels.

The green energy division delivered one of the quarter’s strongest performances. Electricity generation increased 18% to 327 GWh, driven by a 67% rise in wind output following the launch of the Drzeżewo wind farm. EBITDA in the segment climbed 73% to PLN 99 million.

The company also moved to strengthen its network infrastructure strategy through a new term sheet with Cellnex, designed to support further expansion of Plus’s 5G network coverage and improve cost efficiency.
