German broadcaster RTLzwei has launched two FAST Channels on Samsung TV Plus: GRIP – Das Motormagazin and Die Geissens – Eine schrecklich glamouröse Familie.

Both channels extend two of the RTLzwei’s most recognisable programme brands onto the growing FAST distribution path.

Samsung TV Plus is pre‑installed on all Samsung smart TVs released since 2016 and recently surpassed 100 million monthly active users worldwide.

“FAST has become an integral part of the Connected TV market. With ‘GRIP’ and ‘Die Geissens’ we are deliberately transferring two strong format brands into this environment and expanding our presence in the FAST segment,” said Thorsten Braun, Managing Director of RTLzwei. “The partnership with Samsung, one of the largest providers in this field, marks an important step in our content distribution strategy, enabling us to reach additional target groups and create attractive advertising opportunities in the highly demanded CTV environment.”

Benedikt Frey, Country Lead DACH + BeNeLux at Samsung TV Plus, added: “Our newly established partnership with RTLzwei reflects our global ambition to offer audiences regionally relevant premium content based on our understanding of market‑specific target groups and their preferences. By expanding our portfolio of high‑quality programming, Samsung TV Plus users across Germany gain access to a broader selection of content, particularly in the area of local reality TV and entertainment.”

The channels are being launched in cooperation with Wurl, which manages scheduling and technical distribution for ad‑supported streaming TV. Advertising will initially be handled by Samsung Ads, with RTLzwei’s Ad Alliance and El Cartel Brothers to follow in a second phase.
