AUK Studios acquires Wedding TV catalogue and brand

AUK Studios has acquired the Wedding TV catalogue and brand, with plans to make more than 400 hours of archive programming available to stream.

Wedding TV operated on Sky between 2007 and 2013 and built a strong female audience with wedding, fashion, beauty, celebrity and travel programming.

The channel won Best Specialist Channel at the Broadcast Digital Channel Awards in 2008.

AUK Studios said it has also begun production on new Wedding TV content, working with television producer Simon Withington.

Paul Andrews, CEO of AUK Studios, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring the Wedding TV archive back to your screens. This is a much-loved, groundbreaking brand with a rich catalogue of programming, plus we’re also working on new productions — some of which are already well underway.”

The catalogue includes The Wedding Show, Celebrity Brides Unveiled, Celebrity Hens and Stags, For Better or For Worse, So Would You Dump Me Now?, Brides On A Bus, Three Grand Weddings and Wedding TV Asia.
