FIFA+ moves exclusively to DAZN

FIFA and DAZN have expanded their strategic partnership with the launch of FIFA+ exclusively on DAZN, bringing thousands of live matches, archive programming and original content onto a single football-focused platform.
The move marks a significant shift for FIFA’s direct-to-consumer service. The standalone FIFA+ platform will close, with existing users migrated to DAZN as the sports streaming service assumes responsibility for the platform’s technology, distribution, editorial operations and commercialisation.
The agreement follows the companies’ collaboration around the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and forms part of a broader ambition to create what the partners describe as a “Global Home of Football”.
Under the arrangement, FIFA+ on DAZN will offer approximately 8,500 live matches annually in selected territories. Much of the content will come from FIFA’s member associations, providing greater international exposure for domestic competitions, players and federations that typically receive limited global distribution.
The platform will also carry archive content from major FIFA tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup, featuring full match replays, highlights packages and curated historical content.
Upcoming events available through the service will include the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup in selected markets.
For DAZN, the agreement further strengthens its position as a global football platform. The service already holds rights to a wide range of domestic leagues and international competitions and has increasingly positioned itself as a broader sports entertainment destination rather than a traditional streaming service.
The integration also provides FIFA with access to DAZN’s global distribution infrastructure, audience data and engagement tools. Interactive features including FanZone, live chats, polls and quizzes will be incorporated into the FIFA+ experience.
The deal is another indication of the industry’s move towards aggregation, with rights holders increasingly choosing established streaming platforms over standalone direct-to-consumer services. Rather than operating its own independent destination, FIFA is effectively using DAZN’s scale and technology to expand the reach of its content.
Mattias Grafström, FIFA Secretary General, said the partnership represented a key step in making football content more accessible globally, while DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev said the addition of FIFA+ would help the company reach hundreds of millions of football fans worldwide.
The agreement significantly expands DAZN’s free-to-view football offering while giving FIFA’s member associations access to a much larger international audience than was previously available through the standalone FIFA+ service.
