Little Dot Studios, the digital media network, social media agency and multi-platform production company, has secured a multi-platform content agreement with international distributor, Sphere Abacus.

The new multi-year partnership sees Little Dot Studios (an All3Media company) license 150 hours of long-form programming for its global digital broadcast network. Additionally, Sphere Abacus has appointed Little Dot Studios as its official agent for digital copyright management across global social and video platforms.

Under the terms of the agreement, the 150 hours of acquired content will be shared globally across Little Dot Studios’ network of genre-based YouTube channels and FAST brands. The content library spans several of Little Dot Studios’ core genres, including Crime, History, Science, Lifestyle and Nature. Featured hero titles integrated into the network include acclaimed documentaries and investigative series such as Harrods: The Rise and Fall of a British Institution, Ross Kemp: Mafia & Britain (pictured), Attack on Pearl Harbor: Minute by Minute, Titanic: Secrets of the Shipwreck and The Disappearance of William Tyrrell.

In addition to expanding the distribution and monetisation of this premium content library, the agreement leverages Little Dot Studios’ digital rights management infrastructure. As Sphere Abacus’s digital copyright management partner, Little Dot Studios will protect, manage and optimise the value of Sphere Abacus’s IP across YouTube and Facebook operations, securing and scaling new revenue streams while mitigating rights infringement.

Jonathan Ford, Managing Director at Sphere Abacus, commented: “We are delighted to continue to grow our relationship with Little Dot Studios – an important step in our digital growth strategy. By combining our expertise in premium content and their proven digital rights management, we can extend the value of our IP and optimise distribution of our catalogue across key digital platforms.”

Connie Hodson, Director of Content Acquisitions & Partnerships at Little Dot Studios, added: “Expanding our partnership with Sphere Abacus allows us to bring even more standout content to our digital media network. By combining this premium content acquisition with our specialised digital copyright management services, we are building a sustainable, multi-platform ecosystem that drives reach and new revenue streams for Sphere Abacus’s wider digital growth ambitions.”
