German media company Premium-Gruppe has extended its partnership with media services provider Full Season in a multi-year agreement covering playout, content management and distribution services for the TV channels WELT and N24 Doku.

The renewed contract will see Full Season continue to provide an end-to-end service setup for the two channels, supporting their round-the-clock news and factual programming operations.

Under the agreement, Full Season will continue to deliver fully managed playout services through a 24/7 monitored infrastructure designed to ensure uninterrupted operation during live broadcasts. The company will also provide content management services, including content processing, quality control and rapid implementation of programme updates.

The playout and distribution services are integrated into a single workflow, while distribution to Premium-Gruppe platforms includes IP-based delivery technologies intended to provide flexibility in fast-moving news environments.

According to Full Season, the agreement reflects the importance of operational reliability in real-time news broadcasting, where uninterrupted transmission and rapid response capabilities are essential.

“Full Season has proven to be a highly capable and reliable partner under true live conditions,” said Thorsten Prohm, Chief Technology Officer at WELT. “Their consistent performance and collaborative approach are key to delivering our channels smoothly.”

Alexander Neemann, Head of Sales at Full Season, added: “In live news, every second counts. Stability, speed, and precision are essential. Our infrastructure is designed specifically for high-intensity broadcast operations, enabling real-time responsiveness and operational resilience when it matters most.”

Premium-Gruppe is the media division of German publisher Axel Springer that brings together the WELT Group, Politico Germany and Business Insider Germany.
