World Boxing has launched its own direct-to-consumer streaming service, World Boxing TV, in partnership with sports streaming specialist Joymo.

The subscription-based platform will provide live event coverage, highlights, on-demand programming and exclusive content, creating a dedicated digital destination for Olympic-style boxing fans worldwide.

Built on Joymo’s streaming and fan engagement technology, World Boxing TV is designed to strengthen the sport’s direct relationship with audiences while increasing the visibility of athletes and competitions. The service will carry World Boxing’s growing schedule of international events and provide additional opportunities for boxers to build their profiles and engage with supporters.

The launch reflects a broader trend among sports governing bodies seeking greater control over content distribution and audience relationships through direct-to-consumer platforms, rather than relying solely on traditional broadcasters and third-party streaming services.

World Boxing Secretary General Tom Dielen said the platform represented an important step in the organisation’s development.

“The launch of World Boxing TV marks an important milestone in the development of World Boxing and the continued growth of our sport as it provides an opportunity for fans to actively engage with our schedule of competitions and creates a platform for boxers to showcase their skills, connect with viewers and grow their own fanbases,” he said.

“World Boxing TV will provide a dedicated global platform for our athletes, events and member federations that will bring fans closer to the sport while strengthening our ability to tell the stories that are shaping the future of Olympic boxing.”

The platform is expected to play a key role in World Boxing’s commercial strategy, enabling the organisation to retain ownership of audience data, develop new revenue streams and gain deeper insights into fan behaviour.

Joymo CEO Mike Emery said sports organisations increasingly require more than a simple streaming solution.

“World Boxing is helping define the future of boxing, and we’re proud to provide the technology powering that journey,” said Emery.

“Sports organisations today need more than a streaming service – they need a solution that gives them ownership of their content, direct access to their audiences, meaningful fan data and the ability to build sustainable digital revenue streams.”

The launch further strengthens Joymo’s position in the sports streaming sector, where it provides white-label direct-to-consumer platforms for governing bodies, leagues and rights holders looking to build their own digital services.

For World Boxing, the new platform represents a significant investment in its digital future as it seeks to grow the global profile of Olympic-style boxing and create new commercial opportunities for athletes, member federations and stakeholders across the sport.
