Titan OS has announced two strategic partnerships that significantly expand the reach of its independent connected TV platform across Europe, adding Sharp as a smart TV manufacturing partner while bringing its FAST service, Titan Channels, to devices powered by MediaTek.

The agreements were unveiled during the company’s Annual Advertising Summit alongside Cannes Lions.

Under the first deal, Titan OS will power smart TVs manufactured by Sharp for the European market, extending the platform’s distribution across one of the continent’s best-known consumer electronics brands. The companies also plan to collaborate on audience measurement and advertising monetisation, providing enhanced insights for advertisers and content partners.

Witalis Korecki, CEO of Sharp Consumer Electronics Europe, said the partnership would combine SHARP’s heritage in consumer electronics with Titan OS’ independent platform to deliver “smarter entertainment experiences and new opportunities for advertisers and content partners.”

Titan OS has also partnered with semiconductor manufacturer MediaTek to integrate Titan Channels into MediaTek’s TV platform. The agreement will allow television manufacturers using MediaTek chipsets to offer Titan Channels as a standalone application, positioned prominently on the TV interface and accessible via a dedicated remote-control button.

MediaTek powers almost two billion connected devices annually and is the world’s largest supplier of TV system-on-chip platforms, giving Titan Channels significantly wider distribution across the fragmented European television market.

Titan Channels offers a curated portfolio of free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels covering entertainment, news, sport, documentaries and specialist content.

Jacinto Roca, founder and CEO of Titan OS, described the Sharp agreement as “a significant milestone” in the company’s growth, while calling the MediaTek partnership “a major milestone in our strategy to scale Titan Channels across Europe and beyond.”

Cody Huang, Senior Director at MediaTek, said the integration would enhance content discovery and provide consumers with easier access to free streaming channels.

The two partnerships strengthen Titan OS’ position as an independent European TV operating system, expanding its ecosystem for manufacturers, advertisers and content providers while increasing the availability of FAST services across connected TVs.
