Disney+ expands Polish originals with three new commissions

Disney+ has reaffirmed its investment in local programming in Poland, commissioning two new original series and renewing the crime drama Breslau for a second season.

Speaking at an event in Warsaw, Disney+ EMEA Head of Content Angela Jain said local productions play an increasingly important role in the platform’s strategy across Europe.

The new commissions are the comedy-drama Everything Under Control, produced by Opus TV, and thriller The Game, from Aurum Film. Meanwhile, Breslau will return with its original cast for a second season, continuing the story of detective Franz Podolsky.

The announcement is part of Disney+’s wider push into European originals. Since launching its first EMEA original in 2022, the streamer has commissioned dramas, comedies, documentaries and reality series across the region, with upcoming titles also planned in France, Germany and the UK.
