July 1, 2026 12.44 Europe/London By Julian Clover
UKTV has appointed Matt Berry as General Manager – Marketing, a newly created role responsible for leading the broadcaster’s brand, channel and programme marketing strategy.
Berry takes up the position immediately, reporting to Chief Marketing & AI Officer Penny Brough and acting as her deputy. He will oversee UKTV’s overall brand strategy, with responsibility for driving audiences and commercial performance across its portfolio.
He joins permanently after six months in the role on an interim basis. Previously, Berry held senior marketing positions at Channel 4, News UK and British Airways. During his time at Channel 4, he led marketing for programmes including The Great British Bake Off, It’s A Sin and Ackley Bridge, and helped oversee the broadcaster’s brand transformation across its linear and streaming services.
The appointment comes as UKTV continues to expand its streaming service U and develop a more integrated, audience-focused marketing strategy.
