DNS:NET to offer waipu.tv as its new TV service

German regional fibre broadband provider DNS:NET has selected waipu.tv as its new television platform for residential customers, replacing its existing TV offering with the IPTV service operated by Exaring.
The partnership will see DNS:NET begin marketing waipu.tv from autumn 2026. Customers will be able to subscribe to the service directly through DNS:NET, with billing and customer management remaining with the internet service provider. Existing TV customers will receive migration offers before the end of the year.
The move is designed to simplify DNS:NET’s consumer product portfolio while expanding its fibre broadband bundles with a modern IPTV service.
“Our customers will benefit from a powerful and convenient TV service that is ideally suited to high-speed fibre broadband,” said Kim Juchem, Chief Commercial Officer at DNS:NET. “At the same time, we are streamlining our product portfolio and creating a modern television solution for both new and existing customers.”
For Exaring, the agreement marks another wholesale partnership aimed at extending the reach of its waipu.tv platform through broadband operators rather than requiring them to develop and maintain their own TV infrastructure.
“The partnership with DNS:NET once again demonstrates the growing importance of open platform models for network operators,” said Albrecht Kühn, Chief Operating Officer at Exaring. “waipu.tv enables partners to quickly and efficiently add a leading IPTV product to their portfolio without the complexity of operating their own platform.”
DNS:NET will offer the waipu.tv Comfort and waipu.tv Perfect Plus packages. The Comfort tier includes more than 200 HD channels, 50 hours of cloud recording, restart and pause functions, and access to the waiputhek on-demand library. Perfect Plus expands the offering to more than 300 HD channels, including over 70 pay-TV channels, 300 hours of cloud recording and a larger catalogue of on-demand films and series.
Customers will also be able to purchase the waipu.tv streaming stick through DNS:NET.
Berlin-based DNS:NET operates its own fibre and VDSL networks across federal states Berlin, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. Exaring’s waipu.tv currently serves around two million customers in Germany and offers more than 300 HD channels, including over 70 pay-TV services, alongside an extensive on-demand library.
