IBC has announced the conference programme for IBC2026, with AI, live sport, the creator economy and trust in content among the main themes.
The three-day conference will take place at the RAI Amsterdam from September 11-13. Speakers are due to include representatives from BBC Studios, CNN, FIFA, Google, ITV, Meta, Netflix, Olympic Broadcasting Services, UEFA, Warner Bros. Discovery and YouTube.
AI will be a central strand of the programme. The opening keynote will feature Particle 6 founder and CEO Eline van der Velden, creator of the AI actor Tilly Norwood, in a session on the impact of AI on creativity, authorship and production. Other AI sessions will cover technology strategy, news, predictive and generative tools, and production workflows.
Netflix VP Production Anna Mallett will discuss international production, virtual production, cloud-based post-production and AI-assisted workflows, while CNN SVP and CTO Alex Charalambides will lead a keynote on future news delivery.
Live sport will also feature prominently, with sessions involving FIFA, Liga Portugal, OBS, UEFA and the Women’s Super League. The programme will examine rights, data, fan engagement, distribution and the technical demands of live sports production.
The creator economy will be addressed by Evan Shapiro, followed by a panel with BBC Studios Digital Brands, Snap, Tubi, Sidemen Entertainment and Meta. A separate advertising session will look at how brands are developing their own media strategies, with speakers from Banijay, Vice Media Group, Vinted and M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment Europe.
IBC2026 will also include sessions on media consolidation, all-IP broadcasting, content discovery, security, authenticity and provenance. Claire Enders, founder and CEO of Enders Analysis, will give a keynote on consolidation and the changing competitive landscape.
The conference will run alongside the IBC trade show, which takes place from September 11-14.
