Titan OS adds NBCUniversal FAST channels

Titan OS has signed a distribution agreement with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution to add a portfolio of FAST channels to devices powered by the Barcelona-based smart TV operating system.

The channels are being rolled out across the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Nordics and the Netherlands. They are available on Philips, AOC, Sharp and JVC devices running Titan OS, as well as selected Sony Android devices.

The line-up includes FAST channels built around NBCUniversal library titles including He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Northern Exposure, SeaQuest, Will & Grace, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Real Housewives and Universal Westerns.

Advertising inventory from the channels will be managed through Titan Ads, Titan OS’s own monetisation platform for connected TV.

The agreement adds another major studio catalogue to Titan OS as it seeks to build scale in Europe’s FAST and smart TV advertising market. Titan OS has positioned itself as an independent TV operating system and content discovery platform, working with set manufacturers and content owners to expand free ad-supported streaming on connected TVs.
