July 24, 2026 10.58 Europe/London By Julian Clover
EIT Culture & Creativity has launched a €600,000 funding call to support new professional training programmes for Europe’s audiovisual sector.
The call will fund up to eight Continuous Professional Development projects, with grants of up to €75,000 each. The short courses will focus on intellectual property and rights management, artificial intelligence in audiovisual workflows, and digital storytelling.
Applications are open to education providers, research organisations, industry bodies and media companies in EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries. The deadline is September 14.
The initiative is one of several activities EIT Culture & Creativity will bring to IBC2026 as the event’s European Innovation Partner. The organisation will have a presence in Hall 14, showcasing funding, innovation and business creation programmes alongside Future Tech Ignite and the IBC Accelerator Zone.
A separate startup call is also open for companies based in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The City of Amsterdam is selecting 10 to 12 early-stage media technology and creative technology startups to exhibit in the Amsterdam Pavilion at Future Tech Ignite. Applications for that initiative close on July 28.
The City of Amsterdam is a strategic partner of EIT Culture & Creativity, but the two calls are separate. The Amsterdam Pavilion is focused on showcasing local startups, while EIT Culture & Creativity’s CPD call is aimed at developing skills programmes for the European audiovisual industry.
Further information on the CPD funding call and webinar registration is available through the EIT Culture & Creativity website.
