iWedia has launched Teatro Factory, a software platform designed to help telecoms operators and pay-TV providers manage the full lifecycle of digital TV devices, from software development through to deployment and ongoing operations.

The new offering combines software delivery, automated testing and device management into a single framework aimed at operators managing set-top boxes, smart TVs and Android TV deployments.

Teatro Factory is built around three components. Teatro Cx provides continuous integration and software delivery tools, including project tracking, test automation and development dashboards. Teatro Test Lab offers automated software and hardware testing to accelerate validation and reduce release risk, while Teatro Pulse provides fleet management capabilities including remote diagnostics, over-the-air updates, application management and device analytics.

iWedia said the platform is intended to address the growing complexity of managing multiple hardware platforms, operating systems and software generations, while helping operators speed up feature deployment and improve operational visibility.

Hans-Juergen Desor, CEO of iWedia, said the industry is moving beyond project-based system integration towards continuous management of connected TV devices, with operators requiring greater automation across software delivery and device operations.

The launch marks a strategic expansion for the Swiss company, which has spent the past 15 years providing software integration and middleware services for operators, OEMs and technology partners. Teatro Factory packages those capabilities into a managed software platform targeting large deployments of set-top boxes and connected TVs.

iWedia will demonstrate Teatro Factory at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam.
