Sky integrates Hayu into Entertainment OS

Sky has added NBCUniversal’s reality streaming service Hayu to its pay TV platform at no extra cost for eligible customers, further strengthening its aggregation strategy.

The service is now included with Sky Ultimate TV, as well as most Sky Q and Sky+ subscriptions, giving customers access to more than 250 reality series.

Unlike Disney+ and HBO, which are also available to Ultimate TV customers, Hayu’s content has been directly integrated into Entertainment OS rather than requiring customers to login to a separate app. The Hayu app itself remains present on the Sky platform.

Hayu is also available through Sky Go, while Sky Glass and Sky Stream users can add programmes to their playlists alongside content from other broadcasters and streaming services.

Subscribers can watch complete box sets and same-day US episodes of franchises including The Real Housewives, Below Deck and Million Dollar Listing, with content integrated into Sky’s homepage, personalised recommendations and universal search.

The launch builds on the “Taste of Hayu” preview introduced in March and means Sky Ultimate TV now bundles Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu alongside Sky’s own channels and original programming.

The move further reinforces Sky’s position as a content aggregator, bringing together multiple subscription streaming services under a single user interface and billing relationship, rather than requiring customers to manage separate subscriptions. It also expands NBCUniversal’s distribution for Hayu in the UK, where the service specialises in reality television programming.
