South Africa’s public broadcaster has announced that its streaming platform SABC+ has surpassed three million registered users, marking another milestone in the broadcaster’s digital transformation.

SABC+ combines live television and radio, catch-up TV, video on demand and digital services within a single platform, giving audiences access to South African news, sport and entertainment.

The broadcaster said registered accounts provide a valuable first-party audience, enabling more personalised viewing while offering advertisers consented audience data in a brand-safe environment.

SABC said the platform will continue to expand its content offering and user experience as it seeks to strengthen its position in South Africa’s growing streaming market.
