Big Blue Marble will use IBC2026 to demonstrate new AI-assisted piracy detection and investigation tools alongside its streaming and cloud media portfolio.

The company’s Content Protection Suite combines DRM, concurrent access protection and forensic watermarking. At IBC, Big Blue Marble will show AI-assisted fraud detection designed to analyse behavioural data across those layers, identify suspicious usage patterns and help operators investigate piracy, credential sharing and unauthorised redistribution.

Michael Wagenhofer, Group CEO of Big Blue Marble, said: “At IBC2026, we will show what broadcast-grade streaming means in reality: services designed to scale reliably during high-value live events while fitting the operational environment a customer already has.”

The company will showcase its Cloud Video Kit, TV as a Service and modular streaming architecture for live and on-demand video services. Cloud Video Kit brings together video processing, packaging, playback, analytics and content protection, either as an end-to-end platform or integrated into existing media environments.

It will also demonstrate forensic watermarking workflows that analyse recordings from suspected pirate streams and help trace them back to the subscriber or session from which the content originated.

Big Blue Marble will preview AI-assisted production workflow tools, including automated conversion of 16:9 live feeds into 9:16 vertical formats, live multilingual captioning and automated highlight creation.

Recent work includes supporting ORF’s cloud-based distribution of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, where Big Blue Marble engineered and operated infrastructure delivering live feeds to around 80 broadcast and public viewing destinations across Austria.

Big Blue Marble was formed through a collaboration between ORS Group and Insys Video Technologies, combining broadcast infrastructure experience with cloud-native OTT technology. The company will exhibit at IBC2026 on stand 5.A63.
