Proximus has selected Bango’s Digital Vending Machine platform to manage and expand its third-party subscription bundles.
The Belgian operator has migrated existing SVOD services from its in-house platform to Bango DVM and introduced new tiered subscription options. Proximus says the move will reduce the complexity of managing direct integrations with individual streaming providers.
The platform will be used to onboard new content partners, launch subscription offers and manage upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and promotions through a standardised framework.
Perrine Bichet, Entertainment Lead at Proximus, said: “By leveraging the Digital Vending Machine from Bango, we can more easily expand and enhance our subscription bundles, including leading streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+, while bringing new content options to market faster and delivering even greater value to our customers.”
Bango CEO Paul Larbey said the migration would give Proximus “a scalable platform that accelerates the launch of new offers and simplifies the addition of new partners”.
The agreement reflects the growing role of telcos as subscription aggregators, bundling streaming and digital services with broadband and mobile offers while seeking to reduce customer churn and improve ARPU.
