BBC Cymru Wales has agreed a three-year deal with the Football Association of Wales for live coverage of the Novira Cymru Premier.
The agreement guarantees at least 20 matches per season on BBC iPlayer and runs until summer 2029. BBC Sport Online will provide additional coverage and updates.
The first streamed fixture will be Barry Town United against Cardiff Met on August 15, followed by Ammanford against Connah’s Quay Nomads on August 22. Both matches will begin at 12.30pm.
“We’re so pleased to be announcing this new deal with the FAW to show games throughout the next three years of the Novira Cymru Premier,” said Carolyn Hitt, head of sport at BBC Cymru Wales.
The agreement follows the BBC’s acquisition of rights to show every Wales men’s international through to Euro 2028.
FAW head of domestic leagues Jack Sharp said the deal would double the competition’s free live coverage compared with last season. It will operate alongside the governing body’s Cymru Football TV streaming service, which carries every match.
“The BBC’s commitment to Welsh domestic football will play an important role in increasing awareness of the league, attracting new audiences and supporting our wider ambition to continue growing the game,” Sharp said.
