Disney has agreed a multi-year deal to stream every Formula E race on Disney+ in most international markets from the 2026/27 season.

In the United States, coverage will be shared between Disney+ and ESPN+. The agreement includes all 21 rounds across 13 events, together with practice, qualifying, preview and review programmes and race highlights.

The season begins in Jeddah on December 18, with races also scheduled for Austin, Miami, Mexico City and Monaco. The final round will take place in Tokyo on July 25, 2027.

“This is a landmark moment for Formula E and reflects the incredible momentum behind our championship,” said Formula E chief executive Jeff Dodds. “Disney’s global reach will introduce Formula E to millions of new fans.”

The deal expands Disney+’s growing international live sports portfolio. The streamer also holds selected LaLiga rights in markets including the UK, Ireland, France and the Nordic countries, as well as the UEFA Women’s Champions League across Europe and Latin America.

The Formula E agreement is not necessarily exclusive in every territory. ITV’s current UK and Ireland deal covers the 2026/27 season, with races available through ITV4 and ITVX. Formula E has said ITV will continue alongside a pay-TV partner.

TNT Sports and discovery+ currently provide the UK and Ireland pay-TV coverage, while Warner Bros. Discovery distributes Formula E through Eurosport and its streaming services in other European markets.

The 2026/27 championship will introduce Formula E’s fourth-generation car. The GEN4 specification supports output of up to 600kW, equivalent to more than 815 horsepower, and acceleration from zero to 60mph in approximately 1.8 seconds.

Formula E is currently completing its 2025/26 season, with the championship due to be decided in London on August 15 and 16.
