Sky sets return date for Saturday Night Live UK

Saturday Night Live UK will return for its second series on Sky One on September 12.

The first six episodes will be broadcast live on Saturday evenings, with further programmes planned for early 2027. There will be no episode on October 3, with the initial run concluding on October 24.

Each edition will feature a different celebrity host and musical guest, alongside topical sketches and a British version of Weekend Update.

All 11 performers from the inaugural series are returning: Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.

Sky launched the British adaptation of NBC’s long-running US format earlier in 2026. The original Saturday Night Live is produced by Broadway Video in association with Universal Television.

Audience ticket applications for the new series open on August 14.
