Suitest is expanding its test automation platform for OTT applications and devices with new AI-powered hardware, software and cloud capabilities.

The Prague-based provider of test automation solutions will showcase the developments at IBC2026 in Amsterdam, with a focus on real-device testing, continuous video quality monitoring and automated device certification. The new solutions are designed to help OTT providers, network operators and device manufacturers reduce the effort involved in testing and certification while accelerating software releases.

One of the new products is a compact HDMI capture device with an AI-accelerated camera, which Suitest will demonstrate for the first time at IBC2026. Combined with the company’s TVafer high-density 1U rack enclosure, the solution is intended to enable more space-efficient real-device testing environments. Suitest is already accepting preorders, with shipments scheduled to begin after IBC2026.

Suitest is also expanding its Public Device Cloud, providing remote manual testing and automation with lossless video streams. The service currently covers devices and platforms including Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV, Google TV and Amazon Fire TV, with additional platforms planned.

The company’s latest software release adds AI-powered functionality including an MCP server and AI Sight support for Android native applications. Suitest will also demonstrate its Ottium object-based automation technology for Apple TV, which is scheduled for release shortly after the show. New flat-rate pricing options have been introduced alongside the existing usage-based model for automated testing, video quality monitoring and remote device access.

For network operators and pay-TV providers, Suitest is introducing a quality assurance workflow combining continuous service monitoring, Android TV OS testing and performance analytics. The platform can monitor live video on real consumer devices and automatically detect issues such as playback freezes, black screens and visual artefacts. Suitest says its TVafer enclosure and HDMI capture hardware can be used both in network operations centres and field-testing environments.

Integrated performance metrics are intended to help engineering teams compare software versions, identify bottlenecks and accelerate root-cause analysis. At IBC2026, Suitest will also demonstrate testing of Android TV software updates, launchers and live TV applications before their deployment across device portfolios.

“Consumers expect streaming services to deliver a flawless experience regardless of the device they’re using, but achieving that is becoming increasingly complex,” said Mirko Nedeljković, CEO of Suitest. According to Suitest, its latest developments are aimed at helping operators continuously monitor the subscriber experience while automating certification processes for device manufacturers.

Suitest is also targeting the certification process for smart TVs and set-top boxes. According to the company, manufacturers can face more than 50 country- and operator-specific certification programmes before products can be brought to market. The platform is being expanded with automated certification test suites for operator programmes, including the Freely operator application. Manufacturers can run the tests on pre-production and production devices and submit the resulting test data, reducing the amount of manual testing required.

Everyone TV, the company behind the UK Freely platform and a Suitest customer, now accepts certification results generated by Suitest’s automated test scripts. Suitest also plans to support DVB-I and other operator-specific requirements. The platform additionally provides remote access to device diagnostics, including serial logs, debugging commands and software updates. This allows engineers to troubleshoot devices without physical access to the hardware.

Suitest will demonstrate its latest testing solutions at IBC2026, which takes place from 11 to 14 September in Amsterdam, exhibiting at stand 14.A66.
