Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund has revealed that it is holding 154.1 million shares in Elon Musk’s SpaceX rocket-to-broadband business.

The stake is worth some $26.3 billion (€22.7bn) as at the end of June (and depending on the day’s share price valuation).

The commitment represents an important vote of confidence in SpaceX and its prospects in space-related businesses as well as AI computing.

The Saudi Arabian investment joins the likes of Google, Nvidia and Fidelity as other major holders of SpaceX stock.
