Data: UK 3rd-ranked for mobile streaming performance
August 20, 2026
According to nPerf data, the UK achieved a mobile streaming performance of 80.5 per cent between January and July 2026. This ranking, established among countries with a GDP per capita between $32,001 and $60,000, highlights the networks’ ability to ensure smooth high-definition video playback.
The UK’s position is based on streaming performance, an index measuring video playback quality at 720p, 1080p, and 2160p. With an index of 80.5 per cent, it outperforms Italy (80.4 per cent) and the Czech Republic (80.1 per cent).
Among comparable countries, the UK stands out for its ability to deliver an optimal streaming experience. For example, a user can watch a video in 1080p without interruption, whereas other countries such as Saudi Arabia (75.0 per cent) or Israel (71.7 per cent) show lower performance.
Performance differences translate into tangible usage: an index of 80.5 per cent enables viewing content in very high definition with enhanced fluidity, unlike countries such as Spain (70.1 per cent) or Canada (70.0 per cent), where quality may be less stable.
