Sports streaming service DAZN and YouTube-based broadcaster LiveMode TV have partnered to broaden the Portuguese audience for both the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

LiveMode TV will stream one match per matchday from each competition for free on its YouTube channel. These fixtures will simultaneously remain available on DAZN, which continues to hold the comprehensive package of 380 Premier League fixtures per season alongside the majority of UEFA Champions League games. LiveMode TV’s Champions League broadcasts will primarily feature the early 17:45 kick-offs.

The move relies on a hybrid distribution strategy: using LiveMode TV’s free-to-air digital platform to acquire casual viewers and drive subscriptions toward DAZN’s paid tier.

Meanwhile, rival broadcaster Sport TV has launched an OTT subscription plan targeting the Spanish market. Priced at €34.99 per month via app stores, the service offers full coverage of Portugal’s top two domestic divisions, Liga Portugal Betclic and Liga Portugal Meu Super.

The cross-border move comes as international rights for Portuguese football remain fragmented ahead of centralised rights management in 2028/29. DAZN already holds rights to stream three Liga Portugal matches per matchday in Spain through 2027/28.
