Data: Strong UK usage of Roku’s Football Zone
August 21, 2026

Streaming specialist Roku UK has shared new data revealing the strong performance of its Football Zone, the dedicated destination launched in June 2026 to help UK fans find and follow coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

During the tournament, 36 per cent of UK Roku accounts visited the Football Zone to check where the next match was showing. Of those, 46 per cent went on to stream a game or piece of football content directly from the Zone, while 61 per cent came back more than once, checking fixtures, following the live scoreboard, or tracking the goalscorer leaderboard.

“Brilliant results like these prove the Football Zone is the kind of experience UK viewers want — one place for every part of the action in big cultural moments that bring streamers together. It shows the power of innovating our home screen, and we’re already looking at new opportunities to build on our success. We’d also like to thank our partners at the BBC, ITV and STV who worked with us to make this such a great experience for viewers” said Richard Halton, Country Manager, Roku UK.

Roku’s Football Zone launched in the UK in June 2026 ahead of the tournament, bringing together live matches, highlights, replays and football-related content from the archive from BBC, ITV and STV in one hub, along with a live scoreboard and top-scorer leaderboard.
