LG Electronics is bringing a major leap forward in smart television technology to IFA 2026, introducing its new lineup of AI‑powered TVs built around the α11 AI Processor Gen3 and protected by the company’s advanced LG Shield security system. The 2026 range promises sharper picture quality, more intelligent personalization and stronger privacy protections.

At the heart of the new lineup is the α11 AI Processor Gen3, LG’s most powerful TV processor to date. It delivers faster and more precise video processing, with a 5.6‑times improvement in NPU performance and upgraded CPU and GPU capabilities. The processor enables AI Dual 4K Upscaling, which combines two AI methods to convert lower‑resolution content into clearer 4K, and enhances audio with AI Sound Pro, producing virtual 11.1.2‑channel sound. The technology has already earned industry praise, including an AI Award from Tom’s Guide for its ability to reduce color banding and deliver more natural images.

LG’s 2026 AI TVs also introduce a suite of personalized features designed to make everyday viewing more intuitive. Voice ID recognizes individual users and switches to their personal profile, offering tailored recommendations. An AI Chatbot helps troubleshoot issues through natural language, guiding users through adjustments such as brightness or sound settings. AI Concierge analyzes viewing habits and proactively suggests content, search terms and features through a card‑based interface on webOS 26.

Security is a major focus of the new lineup. LG Shield, honored at CES 2026 in the Cybersecurity category, uses seven core protection technologies to safeguard user data and TV systems. The multi‑layered approach defends against data leaks, unauthorized access and tampering. LG AI TVs also come with up to five years of complimentary webOS upgrades, ensuring users continue to receive new features long after purchase.

Park Hyoung‑sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, says the new lineup represents LG’s vision for the future of home entertainment. “From picture quality to security to highly personalized user experiences, every AI‑driven feature is designed to enrich and expand what you can do on LG TV – and IFA 2026 is where people can see these innovations in action.”

Visitors can experience LG’s AI TV lineup in person at Hall 18, Messe Berlin, throughout IFA 2026.
